Help

I cannot figure out how to post pictures from my hard drive…someone guide me!

Ok…on to the post.

Man…the lingering question in my mind this afternoon…how to maintain a Christ following life after college…the statistics show that ONLY 1 in 10 college students really follow hard after the Lord upon leaving their college ministry. So, I am very confident that I am not going to have a “normal” job after college. I want to do some type of ministry/missions. And after saying that many of you are going to think I have a secular job and I am in a ministry/mission….but I am talking non secular job. OK…but the thing is I just do not know WHAT to do. I have or feel like I have sooo many options. How to discern these things???

hee hee… well for me it just sort of happened and fell into place. Just don’t stress. It’s not good or healthy. God is big. He’ll make it clear.

“…the statistics show that ONLY 1 in 10 college students really follow hard after the Lord upon leaving their college ministry.”

So, what do you believe? Statistics, or God? God is counter-entropic.

How to discern these things? Learn to listen to the Holy Spirit’s still, small voice over all else. He will never lead you astray, although he may wait for you to decide what you want to do. Ask him for suggestions and encouragement. You might as well start learning this now because you’ll need Him sooner or later. The sooner you understand your dependency on God the better off you’ll be.

As for the broader question about life… Well, I worked for a year at a home improvement store before I landed a dream job that I’ve been at for three years now. Persistent investigation, prayer and patience are key. God does care about our passions and desires so I’d see how those fit with careers or roles that help people or help you earn money to help people.
